Skoda Kushaq and Slavia Ambition variants get 1.5-litre engine
After introducing the new Kushaq Onyx variant, Skoda Auto India has revised variants of the Kushaq and Slavia in India. The mid-spec Ambition variant of the Kushaq and Slavia is now available with the 1.5-litre TSI Evo engine, which was previously exclusive to the top-spec variants of the corresponding models.

Skoda Kushaq and Slavia new Ambition 1.5-litre variants: Highlights
As a part of this update, the carmaker now offers dual-tone colour schemes with the new Ambition 1.5-litre variants of the Kushaq and Slavia. The Slavia Ambition 1.5-litre is available with Crystal Blue with Black roof and Carbon Steel with Silver roof. Whereas, the Kushaq Ambition 1.5-litre is offered with Honey Orange with Black roof and Carbon Steel with Silver roof.
Skoda Kushaq and Slavia new Ambition 1.5-litre variants: Powertrain
Powering the Kushaq and Slavia Ambition variant is a 1.5-litre, inline-four-cylinder, turbocharged TSI Evo petrol engine mated to a six-speed manual or seven-speed DSG automatic transmission. This engine makes 150PS and 250Nm of torque. It now complies with RDE emission norms and can run on E20 fuel. Skoda claims that the 1.5-litre TSI Evo offers up to seven per cent improved mileage.
Both models also get a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol unit producing 115PS and 178Nm of torque. It is paired with a six-speed manual or six-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
In other news, Skoda recently announced that the new generation Superb and Kodiaq will make their global debut later this year. It also reaffirmed its plans to introduce three new electric vehicles (EVs) in global markets by 2026.
