Skoda India gain a 282 percent hike in sale in August 2021
In August 2021, Skoda Auto India claimed a 282 percent rise in sales over the same period the previous year. In August 2021, the firm sold 3,829 automobiles, up from 1,003 in August 2020. While Kushaq has been the driving force behind the brand's expansion in India, Superb, Octavia and Rapid have all helped to boost sales.
Sales in July 2021 stood at 3,080 units, which account for a 24% increase in August 2021 sales over July 2021. Despite the challenging macro environment and a global shortage of vital parts, Skoda Auto India has continued to move forward and build on the momentum created with the launch of Kushaq.
The 'India 2.0' strategy, which began with the introduction of Kushaq, has placed a strong emphasis on quickly expanding network footprint across India. In August 2021, the brand expanded to more than 100 locations, with new dealerships opening in important towns including Bhopal, Patna, Gurgaon, and Faridabad.

We have exciting plans going forward and will continue to work towards our core objective of creating customer delight."
On the consumer side, Skoda Auto India launched a unique 'Independence Day campaign' 2021 (15th August 2021 15th September 2021) that includes a 15% discount on select components, a 10% discount on certain accessories, a 20% discount on RSA, and a free 40-point -up for all models.
