Second-gen Volkswagen Lavida unveiled – Beijing Auto Show

Shanghai Volkswagen has displayed the new Jetta, nee the Lavida at the Beijing Auto Show 2012. The Lavida competes in the A-segment in the Chinese market and shares its platform with the Jetta. The Lavida was first introduced in China in 2008 and so far seven lakh units have been sold. With the launch of the latest generation car, Volkswagen hopes to double that figure.

The Lavida is offered with three different engines in four trims. The base version comes with front airbags, ESP and ABS. Apart from the Lavida, VW group also displayed the CC V6, E-Bugster and Cross Coupe concepts as also other cars.
