Royal Enfield Scram 440 launched for Rs 2.08 lakh

The Royal Enfield Scram 440 has been launched for Rs 2.08 lakh which makes it Rs 1,300 dearer than the Scram 411. It is available in two variants - Trail and Force. The Force variant will set you back by Rs 2.15 lakh.

It houses a 443-cc, air/oil cooled engine mated to a six speed gearbox. The engine pushes 25 PS at 6,250 rpm and 34 Nm of peak torque at 4,000 rpm. The bike runs on 19-inch wheel upfront and 17-inch at the rear. It gets dual-channel ABS which can be toggled off for the rear wheel. It gets LED headlamps and rear lamps, a type A USB charger, and a tripper pod (optional) to name a few.

The bike tips the scales at 196 kg, has a 15-litre fuel tank, 200 mm of ground clearance and a seat height of 795 mm. Suspesnsion duties are done by 41 mm telescopic forks upfront with 190 mm travel and monoshock at the rear with 180 mm of travel. Braking duties are done a 300 mm rotor upfront and a 240 mm rotor at the rear.

The Royal Enfield Scram 440 will rival the likes of the Triumph Scrambler 400X and Yezdi Scrambler to name a few.
