When you walk the gleaming halls of Milan's EICMA and see a marque that has done more 'thumping' than most in the past twelve-and-a-half decades, you know you're standing in front of something substantial. That's Royal Enfield for you celebrating 125 years of 'Pure Motorcycling' and doing it with a flourish that mixes nostalgia, momentum and a not-so-quiet wink to the future.

Let's not mince words: 125 years is a big deal. Royal Enfield's lineage stretches from the first bike in 1901 to this very moment and they've marked it not by buzz-words, but by a bona-fide Special Edition of their iconic Classic series. The '125 Year Special Edition' dresses up the teardrop tank, nacelle headlight and that unmistakable silhouette in a hypershift paint that moves from red to gold depending on your angle. Its innards are blacked out and there's even a gold crest reading '125 Years' completes the celebratory punch. It's pure theatre, and I think it works.

This piece of heritage-hardware is more than a cosmetic drool-fest: it's a statement that even as Royal Enfield leans forward, it hasn't forgotten where it comes from. Just hope they've done something about the bike's heft (weight).

Bullet 650, Classic 650 125-Years & Shotgun 650 x Rough Crafts
Now, for the fun part. At EICMA 2025 the brand unveiled a new chapter in the 'heritage twin' saga - the Bullet 650. This machine takes the styling cues of the Bullet's storied past and marries them to the 648cc parallel-twin platform (shared with Classic 650) that Royal Enfield has developed. We see the chrome fenders, wire-spokes, a single-piece seat, analogue speedo with digital inset, and the unmistakable Bullet blow-by-blow of a legacy revived.

Like the Bullet 350, the Bullet 650 is basically a Classic 650 in disguise with all the underpinnings and panels shared aside from a few aesthetic bits towards the rear of the bike. Both bikes are powered by the same 648cc twin which puts down an identical 47PS of power and 52Nm of torque. Dual channel ABS is the only safety net here and both iterations of the bike weigh in at a substantial 243kg kerb.
Yes, we could say it's retro in overdrive, but as any rider knows - nostalgia only works if you've got competence underneath.

RE also revealed two special edition Shotgun 650 Rough Crafts custom models which feature a healthy dose of darkened bits among some other some aesthetic alterations to the 650cc bikes and will be available in a collective 100 units across the globe.

Himalayan Mana Black Edition
For those who see a trail not as an obstacle, but as an invitation, Royal Enfield rolled out the Himalayan Mana Black Edition 450. Inspired by the brutal high-altitude Mana Pass route, this variant dresses the standard Himalayan in 'Stealth Black' matte finishes, rally-ready accessories (hand-guards, tubeless spoked wheels, rally seat), and gives the rider the message loud and clear: get out there and explore. Minimalism meets purpose. For Hermit Valley or Himalayan valleys, this one beckons.

Flying Flea S6
And yes - while you might expect a heritage brand to stay in its thirties-ish bubble, Royal Enfield is also playing the future-game. The Flying Flea brand (the same resurrected WWII-era name) now has the S6 a scrambler-style electric bike built for urban agility and trail tease. With USD forks, chain drive, staggered 19-inch front/18-inch rear wheels, a torque-rich EV motor and that twin pedigree of 'lightweight city wanderer' meets 'off-road flirt'. The S6 comes equipped with lean-sensitive ABS, traction control, dedicated off-road button Bluetooth connectivity with OTA updates and a lot more. Basically, the S6 is the brand's rugged nod to the new electrified generation.

So what is the takeaway from Royal Enfield's EICMA 2025 playbook? Well, once again, Royal Enfield has proved that though it is a heritage brand, they are not relics. 125 years doesn't happen accidentally. It happens because you ride, you evolve, and you persist. And boy, have they! We wouldn't be surprised to see all these bikes make their way to RE's main ground event Ridermania later this November. So watch out for that!
