DC Entertainment and the Ram truck marque have tied-up to create a unique pick-up inspired by the upcoming Superman movie, 'Man of Steel'. The truck will be used for publicity events and will be auctioned off for charity in the coming months. The one-of-a-kind superhero truck will debut today in New York City at the world premiere of Man of Steel.
The dark grey, heavy duty truck features a glossy black roof with red grille accents, 17-inch forged aluminium black off-road wheels, Superman logos and a custom-made vehicle wrap inspired by Superman's own superhero attire. The interior gets custom mesh seat inserts also indicative of Superman's attire, pewter leather seats, red trim and Man of Steel logo on the glove-box.
The partnership includes a new 30-second commercial called "Action" that pairs scenes from the film with footage of Ram trucks and a voice-over that says, "Everyone has the ability to do something amazing... Some just do it on a more regular basis." Additionally, the TV spot will be combined with a neat print ad illustrated by DC Comic artist Shane Davis.
"Ram celebrates those who dare to be great and never back down from a challenge," said Reid Bigland, Ram Truck Brand president and CEO in a statement. "This is the essence of Superman and also embodies our Ram truck buyers, who believe in hard work, integrity and standing up for what is right."
