Skoda recently began production of its new Fabia Estate at its main plant in Mladá Boleslav. They claim that it is a completely redeveloped third generation car. Internationally, the Fabia Estate has been a strong selling model. It offers decent space and functionality and is relatively eco-friendly. The car will be launched in the first half of 2015. Also featured are smartphone connectivity by MirrorLink, displaying smartphone apps such as sat-nav on the infotainment system screen. SmartGate enables data on the vehicle to be displayed and saved on your smartphone via special apps. Skoda say that the safety, comfort and infotainment systems incorporated have been derived from higher vehicle classes.

"The production launch of the new Skoda Fabia Estate is a key element of our comprehensive model campaign," said board member for production and logistics, Michael Oeljeklaus.

It was just recently that the Fabia hatchback went on sale and just weeks after, the new Fabia Estate has been launched. The plant in Mladá Boleslav has been subject to extensive adaptation and modernisation for the new Fabia, according to Skoda. Changes include new assistance systems and renewed areas of the paint shop.

The car seats five people in relative comfort and the 530 litres of boot are an added advantage. Skoda are making their cars with more thoughtful features which they call 17 Simply Clever solutions, 10 of which are on offer in the Estate.

The design is more in line with all the modern Skoda makeovers. Like the hatch, the Estate features a modern, sharp and dynamic look reminiscent of the VisionC show car. The design is sharp and crystalline elements add character to the overall look of the vehicle. The Estate has revamped interiors with a huge array of customisation options available.

Fabia Estate is claimed to consume less fuel than the previous model. The new Fabia Estate GreenLine will be seen in later half of 2015. It will be a frugal car delivering up to 38 kmpl and much lower CO2 emissions. The Estate has been a part of the Skoda portfolio since 2000 has more than 1.1 million customers internationally.
