Zoomcar enters into a strategic partnership with Renault to offer Renault Kwid to its 15 Million Users
Zoomcar, a leader in the shared subscription mobility space, has announced a strategic partnership with Renault by launching Renault Kwid on its marketplace. Now subscribers can avail Renault Kwid at a monthly subscription fee of just INR 14,999/-. Zoomcar plans to add over 1,000 Renault cars across India to its operating fleet by next year. The subscribers can then share the car back on Zoomcar's self-drive platform which can be used for self-drive bookings by its registered base of 15 million customers for short-term rentals.
As a part of the partnership, Zoomcar will extend some of the most popular models from the automaker to its customers. Beginning with the hatchback, Zoomcar customers will soon enjoy more Renault alternatives including crossovers and SUVs over the platform. Zoomcar now has a total of 25 car variants of different brands available under its regular rental model as well as its shared subscription mobility model.
Speaking on the announcement, Greg Moran, Co-founder and CEO, Zoomcar said, "We are a dedicated marketplace that is addressing a sizeable market void. Our constant endeavour is to keep on widening the automotive options available to our subscribers and Zoomcar users, might it be SUVs, Hatchbacks or sedans. To accomplish this overarching objective, we are getting into deep strategic partnerships with leading OEMs in India. We are grateful to Team Renault for joining hands with Zoomcar and cultivating a futuristic and dynamic business relationship."
In the mobility sector, there has been a tectonic shift as more OEMs enter the shared subscription mobility segment. This barely comes as a surprise with new-age customers enjoying the idea of hassle-free ownership with limited liabilities and superior flexibility. Earlier, Zoomcar had launched Volkswagen Polo for shared subscription, which was sold out within 48-hours of the announcement.
