Atumobile Pvt Ltd. launches its electric bike Atum 1.0

Atumobile Pvt. Ltd., a Hyderabad-based electric vehicles start- up, launched Atum 1.0, a new generation electric bike. The cost-effective, performance- oriented, café-racer styled electric bike is specifically designed for the needs of the upwardly mobile Indian consumer. The all new Atum 1.0, with a base price of Rs. 50,000/-, redefines e- mobility with its sturdy build and a retro, vintage design and is available across India through Atumobile's online portal.

Powered by a portable lithium-ion battery pack, that charges in just under 4 hours, Atum 1.0 offers a range of 100 kmph in a single charge. The electric bike comes with a 2-year battery warranty and is perfect for kids, adults, and elders for city commute. Available in a wide range of colours, the eco-friendly Atum 1.0 is optimized for space, comfort, and high performance. With the design successfully tested, over varying and extreme conditions, the final product, which has a premium café racer feel to it, has been developed using indigenous parts.

The greenfield manufacturing facility, located in Telangana, has an annual production capacityof 15000 Atumobiles with an additional capacity of 10000 electric bikes depending on market demand. Atum 1.0 is approved, as a low speed bike, by the International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT) which makes it ready for commercial use. Additionally, Atum 1.0 does not need a registration and the person driving it does not need a license. Teenagers can use this vehicle legally to commute.

Speaking at the launch of Atum 1.0, Mr. Vamsi Gaddam, Founder, Atumobile Pvt. Atum 1.0 comes with a lightweight portable battery pack of 6 kgs. Its easy to carry design allows the users to charge it anywhere using a normal 3-pin socket. Atum 1.0 can cover 100 kilometers in a single charge. It is very cost-effective to operate as it consumes around 1 unit per charge, which translates to Rs. 7-10 per day (for 100 kilometers) as compared to the traditional ICE bikes, which cost almost Rs. 80-100 a day (for 100 kilometers).

The USP of Atumobile1.0 is its design which is completely proprietary and has been built in-house from scratch. The electric bike, with its range of features such as 20X4 fat-bike tires to conquer any road; comfortable seat height with one of the best-in-class ground clearance; long lasting Batteries with 2 years warranty and a range of 100 kms in a single charge; and, a complete digital display incorporating LED headlight, indicators & taillight, strives to be the new benchmark for the Indian electric two-wheeler segment.
