To celebrate its 60th anniversary of the first two Porsche Clubs founded in 1952, Porsche has announced a new exclusive 911 Club Coupe. Currently there are 640 Porsche Clubs with about 1.8 lakh members in 75 countries.

The new Club Coupe will use the Porsche Carrera S as the base car but will get the latter's powerkit which bumps up power from 406PS to 436. Porsche claims 0-100kmph lap times of 4s. The optional Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) will shave 20mm from the car's ground clearance. Porsche's Sport Design package pulls out a ducktail spoiler at the rear and a new front fascia. The car sits on 20-inch Sport Techno alloys. There will be a glossy script on the doors with a Brewster Green background paint scheme to it, while the interiors will have an Espresso theme to them.

Now the bummer. Porsche will be making only 13 of these cars (in honour of the 13 founding members) and plans to keep one for itself. That leaves 12 cars for the car buying public. Prospective customers will have to put down their name on the company's microsite before June 16 and they will be selected via an allotment lottery system. The chosen ones will have to pay Rs 97.67 lakh excluding duties for the car. Customers though, do get a privilege of getting their names engraved on the door sill, at that price point.
