Welcome to a new beginning!

This piece I wrote came to you from my laptop, an old-fashioned laptop that has survived countless epic drives in cars of all sorts across terrain of diverse nature. Chances are that you are now reading this on a desktop, laptop, tablet or a mobile platform in your part of the world wherever that may be. But what's apparent is that nowhere in this process was a pen or paper utilized. That tells us something about the reach of digital platforms. It's all encompassing.

OVERDRIVE has always been at the forefront of the digital race. We were the first to come out with a automotive website way back in the early 2000's, we were the first to use social media as a communication tool through Orkut and then through Facebook and live reports on Twitter and we were the first to invest in and develop a full-fledged iPad app (not a PDF version on Zinio or Magzter though you can choose to buy our magazine there as well).

And now we have a brand new website which unlike other magazine websites is not a derivative of the magazine. What you will see is a lot more comprehensive information catering to your every requirement irrespective of whether you are a consumer or an enthusiast. This information will come to you not just in the form of stories but also videos and images and we urge you to take a peek into our galleries sections. While it is a nice habit to read, images and video will bring you that much closer. I can guarantee that your enthusiasm or quest for knowledge will be richer with this new website.

If you are in the automotive market looking for your next purchase or helping someone in the family out with their deal, the new OVERDRIVE website will give you a full buffet of all the information you will ever need and then some more.

If you are an enthusiast then we hope you will celebrate everything automotive with us through the new website. Don't feel left out because just like any automotive enthusiast we are at our core people who love everything automotive with concentrated passion.

All of this information is backed by an experienced and highly passionate team of journalists who spend an immense amount of time in the cars and on the bikes you will read about in here. Each is an expert in their respective fields, whether it is testing or reporting.

Even motorsport fans will have access to a whole new world of information brought to you from some of the most experienced and enthusiastic fans of the sport.

With this step we at OVERDRIVE no longer consider ourselves just a magazine printed and published in paper. This next big move into the digital world, will give you a more intimate relationship with cars and bikes. So while we burn rubber how about you go consume that bandwidth!
