Okinawa Autotech launches extended warranty for its customers starting from Rs 2,287
For its whole line of electric scooters in India, Okinawa has launched a new Extended Warranty Program (EWP). Okinawa has teamed up with USA-based Assurant Inc.
Traction motors, controllers, DC-DC converters, and chargers are covered by the warranty program. The firm further asserts that it is the only electric vehicle (EV) brand to provide a warranty on components like the frame and wiring harness of its electric scooters.
Depending on the type of electric scooter, extended warranty costs (up to two years) range from Rs 2,287 to Rs 5,494. New and up to three-year-old Okinawa consumers may take advantage of the program.
There are up to eight different varieties of electric scooters from Okinawa available in India, including both high-speed and low-speed variants. The OKHI-90 is the most expensive and intriguing of them all, with a maxi-scooter-like design and big 16-inch alloy wheels. It costs Rs. 1.86 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The extended warranty indicated above may be purchased at any of the brand's outlets across the nation. The company has dealerships in over 540 locations throughout India.
Speaking about the program and association with Assurant, Jeetender Sharma, MD and Founder, Okinawa Autotech said, "Our primary goal has always been to provide all the requisite support to the 2.3 lakh plus customers and build a long-lasting brand in the automobile industry. I am pleased to announce our partnership with Assurant Inc., a Fortune 500 company, which is in line with our promise to provide unmatched after-sales services to delight our customers. We are the first in the industry to come up with such a unique warranty program which has been strategically designed to reduce the burden of premature repair costs on the customers after the standard warranty expires."
