Odysse Vader launched in India at Rs 1.30 lakh
Mumbai-based EV two-wheeler start-up Odysse has launched the Vader electric bike in India at Rs 1,29,999 lakh (ex-showroom, after FAME II and state subsidies). The electric bike promises a range of 125km in Eco mode, 105km in Drive mode, and 90km in Sport mode. It is available in a choice of five paint schemes: Misty Grey, Fiery Red, Venom Green, Glossy Black, and Midnight Blue. Odysse has opened bookings for the Vader at Rs 999.
New Odysse Vader: Battery pack and Power
The Vader is powered by a 3.7kWh battery pack that has also received IP67 and AIS 156 certifications. It is paired with an electric motor producing 4.5kW of peak power and 170Nm of torque. With this, it provides a top speed of 85kmph. Notably, the battery can be charged to 100 per cent in a claimed four hours. Odysse has also equipped the Vader with a BMS and CAN communication system.

The Vader is a naked electric motorcycle. It features a round LED headlight with integrated ring-shaped daytime running light. In addition, the headlamp has a tiny cowl. Other styling elements include squared-shaped turn indicators, a split seat, alloy wheels, and a CPU cabinet-shaped battery pack cover.

In terms of features, the electric vehicle (EV) start-up has given the Vader a seven-inch colour TFT display with Google Maps. This IP67-rated display has a 1,000-nit brightness and 1024x600 pixels resolution. Additionally, it gets OTA updates, Bluetooth connectivity, and call alerts. It comes with four distinctive themes. On top of that, the Vader is outfitted with live tracking geo-fencing, and immobilisation, among others.
