Norton reveals V4CR Cafe Racer prototype
The V4SV superbike inspired V4CR café racer prototype is the Norton's first product built and engineered at its new Solihull headquarters in the UK.
Norton Motorcycles has unveiled a café racer prototype called the V4CR. When TVS bought Norton Motorcycles in last year, the company focused on correcting the issues in the V4 Superbike which resulted in the V4SV that was unveiled last November. Now, this new V4CR is the first new product to be shown off under TVS ownership. The Norton V4CR café racer prototype is the company's first product built and engineered at its new Solihull headquarters in the United Kingdom.
The V4CR café racer, like the V4SV superbike it's based on, comes with carbon fibre fuel tank and body panels, and a polished billet aluminium swingarm and frame. The V4CR also features compact framework and a shorter rear frame for an aggressive and commanding stance. Brembo brakes, Ohlins suspension components, and a titanium exhaust are expected to be among the high-end performance components. The V4CR is powered by a 1200cc V4 engine that puts down 185PS of power as it does in the V4SV.
There's been no mention of any pricing as yet because this is still a prototype model, but when it soon goes in to production, the Norton V4CR will be offered in two colour options: Carbon and Manx Silver.
