Nissan to launch 45th Anniversary Edition of the GT-R in Japan
Lovers of the Nissan Gran Tourismo in Japan are set to receive an early Valentine's day present from the Japanese carmaker - To celebrate 45 years since the introduction of the original Skyline GT-R, Nissan is releasing a limited edition of the GT-R supercar.
The 45th Anniversary Edition will be a derivative of the 2015 GT-R, but with a coat of Silica Brass, inspired from the Skyline GT-R-M's trademark tint. Other distinguishing features will be the exclusive badging on the centre cluster and exclusive model plate number in the engine compartment. The Anniversary Edition will only be available in the Premium Edition trim priced at 1,07,87,040 yen (above Rs 5.6 crore) - this would make it around Rs 1 crore dearer than the top-end variant of the regular GT-R.
Only 45 units of this special edition will be rolled out in Japan. Meanwhile the GT-R continues to elude India. Nissan feels that the supercar is not feasible for our markets and its launch in India, for now, has been deferred indefinitely.
