Nissan Magnite achieves one lakh unit production milestone
Launched in December 2020, the Nissan Magnite has achieved an important milestone of reaching one lakh unit production mark in India. The 1,00,000th Magnite SUV was rolled out from the Alliance plant (RNAIPL) in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The Japanese carmaker has been able to achieve this mark within two and a half years of the launch of its SUV.
Nissan recently launched the Magnite Geza Edition in India at Rs 7.39 lakh (ex-showroom). It features a new nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a JBL sound system, a new beige upholstery, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ambient lighting, a rear view camera, and a shark fin antenna.
Nissan Magnite exports
Nissan exports the made-in-India Magnite to over 15 countries with recently added Bangladesh, Brunei, Seychelles, and Uganda. So far, the brand exported around one million vehicles from its Chennai facility to 108 nations. The list of counties includes Australia, Europe, New Zealand, the Middle East, South-East Asia, Latin America, SAARC, Sub Sahara, and African regions.
2023 Nissan Magnite Highlights
The Nissan Magnite is available in a choice of a range of variants across two distinctive engine options. It comes with a verity of single- and dual-tone colour options.
The carmaker recently updated the SUV to comply with BS6 phase-2 norms and gave it several features as standard. As a result, the all variants of the Magnite now feature Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), Traction Control System (TCS), and Hill Start Assist (HSA), and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
2023 Nissan Magnite: Powertrain
The SUV gets a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.0-litre, inline three-cylinder, turbo-petrol motor. The former makes 72PS and 96Nm of torque, while the latter produces 100PS and 160Nm (152Nm with CVT) of torque. Transmission options include a five-speed manual and a CVT automatic.
