New Ultraviolette F77 Space Edition launched at Rs 5.60 lakh
Electric two-wheeler start-up Ultraviolette has launched the F77 Space Edition in India at Rs 5.60 lakh (ex-showroom). This special edition version draws inspiration from India's space odyssey and contribution towards the aerospace community. Notably, the electric two-wheeler manufacturer will make only 10 units of the F77 Space Edition. The limited-run electric motorcycle comes equipped with several aerospace grade materials, however, its retains the same battery pack and other mechanicals.
To begin with, the F77 Space Edition uses custom machined aerospace grade aluminium 7075, which offers excellent strength-to-weight ratio and a tensile strength compared to steel. Thanks to its unique properties, space grade aluminium is utilised in various defence vehicles, fighter jets, and aircraft.
On top of that, it features a high-quality aerospace grade paint job, providing corrosion protection, thermal stability, UV and face resistance, and chemical resistance. The paint also claims to improve overall performance, contributing to efficiency by reducing drag. Space grade aluminium key is another highlight of the F77 Space Edition, which is made from a single piece of metal.
Powering the F77 Space Edition is the 10.3kWh battery pack that offers a claimed range of 307km (IDC cycle) on a full charge. It is paired with an electric motor that makes 38.8PS and 95Nm of torque. It can achieve zero to 60kmph in a claimed 2.9 seconds and provides a top speed of 152kmph.
