New TVS electric scooter to feature smartwatch connectivity
TVS has set the stage for the launch of its upcoming all-new electric scooter on August 23, 2023. This highly-anticipated e-scooter is reported to be based on the Creon concept, which was showcased at the Auto Expo a few years ago. The latest teasers provide a glimpse of its design language, which appears to strongly resemble the Creon concept. Importantly, a recent teaser has confirmed that the new TVS electric scooter will feature modern smartwatch connectivity, akin to car manufacturers offering similar features. Notably, TVS currently offers the iQube, which ranks as the second best-selling electric scooter in the country.
New TVS Electric Scooter: Smartwatch Connectivity
Contemporary automakers commonly provide connected car technology in their vehicles, often coupled with smartwatch connectivity. This enables owners to remotely access various functions, such as locking/unlocking doors and starting the engine. In a similar vein, the upcoming TVS electric scooter will come equipped with connected car features. The teaser reveals that the owner can use their smartwatch to lock and unlock the electric vehicle. Expect TVS to offer a smartwatch app as an extension of its existing SmartXonnect app compatible with iOS and Android devices. This watch-based app is also likely to offer functionalities such as locating the vehicle and setting up geo fencing.

Anticipate the upcoming TVS electric scooter to feature a dynamic and sporty design with sharp panels, an assertive front end, large wheels, and a range of vibrant colour choices. One teaser showcases the front of the electric scooter, highlighting an ice-cube-shaped LED headlight setup stacked vertically. This headlight design mirrors the one seen on the Creon concept.
Additional features may include reverse assist, comprehensive LED lighting, a front disc brake, a colour TFT display, Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, riding modes, and more.
New TVS Electric Scooter: Powertrain
The upcoming TVS electric scooter is expected to house a battery pack with a capacity of up to 4kWh, paired with a performance-oriented electric motor. This configuration could offer a range of around 120km to 130km on a single charge, outperforming the iQube. Moreover, the new scooter is likely to support fast charging or provide improved charging times compared to the currently available iQube model.
