New Triumph Daytona 660 to be launched soon in India

Triumph Motorcycles recently conducted a Q&A session on its Instagram handle, where it hinted at the imminent launch of the new Daytona 660 in India. Responding to an inquiry about the India debut of the Daytona 660, the company revealed that production has commenced. This suggests that the launch of the new Triumph Daytona 660 is likely to take place soon, with select Triumph dealerships across the country already opened bookings for the middleweight sports bike. In fact, some dealers anticipate the arrival of the Daytona 660 in India as early as next month.

Triumph Daytona 660: Engine specifications

The new Daytona 660 is powered by a 660cc, inline three-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine delivering 95PS at 11,250rpm and 69Nm of torque at 8,250rpm. Compared to the Trident, it offers 17 per cent more power and nine per cent more torque. Moreover, over 80 per cent of the peak torque of 69Nm is accessible from as low as 3,125rpm. Triumph has equipped the Daytona 660 with a new exhaust system featuring a 3-in-1 header and a compact underslung silencer with a stainless steel finish to create a distinctive sound. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox with Triumph's Torque Assist clutch, and an optional bi-directional quickshifter is also available.

Triumph Daytona 660: Features and hardware

In terms of features and specifications, the Daytona 660 boasts three riding modes (Sport, Road, and Rain), an Emergency Deceleration Warning system for enhanced safety, traction control, and a colour TFT display with app connectivity. On the hardware front, it features Showa suspension at the front and rear, twin four-piston radial calliper with 310mm discs at the front, a single 220mm rear disc with a single-piston calliper, and new Michelin Power 6 tires. Triumph will also offer over 30 accessories for the middleweight supersport.

Triumph Daytona 660: Pricing

While the Trident 660 and Tiger Sport 660 are priced at Rs 8.25 lakh and Rs 9.47 lakh (both ex-showroom), respectively, the new Daytona 660 is expected to slot between them with an estimated price range of Rs 8.80-9 lakh.
