New Tata Tiago, Tigor iCNG AMT launched; prices start at Rs 7.90 lakh

Tata Motors has launched India's first CNG-automatic cars, the Tiago iCNG AMT and Tigor iCNG AMT with prices prices starting at Rs 7.90 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 8.85 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. The bookings for the new CNG automatic Tiago and Tigor started a couple of weeks ago for a token amount of Rs. 21,000 across the Tata Motors showrooms or online through the brand's office website.

Tata Tiago CNG AMT and Tigor CNG AMT: Prices

The prices of the Tiago iCNG AMT range between Rs 7.90 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 8.80 lakh (ex-showroom), while the prices of the Tigor iCNG AMT start from Rs 8.85 lakh (ex-showroom) and go up to Rs 9.95 lakh (ex-showroom). On the flip side, the Tiago CNG and Tigor CNG (with manual gearbox) have been priced between Rs 6.55 lakh and 8.20 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 7.80 lakh and Rs 8.95 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively.

Tata Tiago CNG AMT and Tigor CNG AMT: Variants and colours

Tata Tiago AMT CNG is available in a choice of three variants, namely XTA, XZA+, and XZA NRG, along with the XZA+ dual-tone variant. On the other hand, Tata offers the Tigor CNG AMT with two variants: XZA and XZA+. Notably, the Tiago and Tiago NRG CNG AMT get a new Tornado Blue and Grassland Beige colours, respectively. Whereas, the Tigor CNG AMT comes with a new Meteor Bronze paint scheme.

Tata Tiago CNG AMT and Tigor CNG AMT: Engine specifications

The Tiago CNG AMT and Tigor CNG AMT get a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine, which in the CNG mode will produce 73.4PS and 95Nm of torque. The hatch and sedan also come with twin-cylinder CNG setup.

Further, Tata has equipped the CNG-automatic variants with a direct start in CNG mode and an auto engine turn off function, called micro switch. There is also a new creep function for the CNG AMT models for easy manoeuvrability.
