Suzuki has previewed the new generation Swift concept ahead of its global debut at the Japan Mobility Show 2023, which will be held between 26 October and 5 November this year. The hatchback has been due for a generation update for a while. In fact, the test mules of the upcoming fourth-gen Swift was already spotted a few times.

2024 Suzuki Swift: Design

The Swift Concept, as seen in the photographs, features a familiar but sportier and sleek design language. There is a new bonnet, grille, headlights with integrated L-shaped daytime driving lights, square-shaped fog lamps, a strong shoulder line, slanting roofline, fresh C-shaped taillights, conventional door handles, and a new set of alloy wheels. Overall, the next-gen hatchback appears production ready.

2024 Suzuki Swift: Interior

The overhauled cabin resembles to the carmaker's new offerings, such as the Baleno, Fronx, and Grand Vitara, sold in India and other countries. For the first time, the Swift gets a dual-tone interior. Additionally, there is a new nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a traditional analogue instrument cluster, and a familiar temperature control panel. The India-spec model might come with a different interior theme and leatherette upholstery for the seats.

2024 Suzuki Swift: Features

The International-spec new-gen Swift will feature various driver assistance systems, such as automatic emergency braking, adaptive high beam assist, and driver monitoring system, among others. It would be surprising if Maruti Suzuki decides to offer them with the India-spec model. Further, the all-new Swift is likely to get wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, advanced connected car tech with smartwatch connectivity, Type-C ports, 360deg camera, a wireless charging pad, telematics, and more.

2024 Suzuki Swift: Powertrain

We expect the India-spec model to carry forward the 1.2-litre, inline four-cylinder, naturally aspirated Dual Jet Dual VVT petrol engine with mild hybrid functionality. This motor produces 89PS and 113Nm of torque. It comes mated to a five-speed manual and an AMT. The new-gen Swift could also borrow the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol unit from the Fronx.
