Skoda has given its Yeti some minor cosmetic updates. The refreshed Yeti is now prepped to be officially unveiled at next month's Frankfurt Auto Show 2013.

A revised front fascia shows inspiration from the much-spoken of Vision D concept. The centrally mounted lights have been replaced by a set of rectangular-shaped headlights with optional bi-xenons and LED daytime lights and foglights mounted low down in the bumper. There's a new grille and the new monochrome badge. A new set of taillights with an LED 'C' pattern and a new tailgate make it to the rear. Alloy wheel options and four new colour schemes are also available.

A fresh 3-spoke steering wheel, new seat fabric options/patterns and new dash inserts light up the cabin. Other add-ons include an automatic parallel parking system, a rear-view camera, 9 airbags, VarioFlex (Skoda's flexible rear seat system) and heated seats and cruise control.

The Yeti now will be available in two guises, one for the city and the other for the outdoors. Major differentiations between the two are some front and rear essentials. Bumpers, belly guard, side mouldings and door sills are body-coloured in the city version, while the outdoor version gets them in all-black plastic.

The four diesel and three petrol engines remain unchanged. The top-of-the-line 168PS 2.0 TDI engine comes with a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and AWD. The modest 103bhp 1.6 TDI now gets an optional 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

UK pricing and other related specifics will be announced close to the date of sale, early next year.
