Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. has introduced a new Magnite Geza special edition model for the India market. While the carmaker has opened bookings for the new special edition mode, it will launch the SUV in the country on 26 May, 2023. A statement released by the automaker states that the Magnite Geza special edition takes inspiration by Japanese theatre and its expressive musical themes. With this, it is claimed to provide advanced infotainment features, delivering an enhanced sensory experience.

Nissan Magnite Geza Special Edition: Highlights

The upcoming Magnite Geza special edition boasts a bunch of features, such as a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a JBL sound system, a rear view camera, ambient lighting that can be controlled by an app, a shark fin antenna, and beige upholstery for the interior.

Nissan Magnite Geza special edition: Design and Interior

We expect the Magnite Geza special edition to retain its overall design. However, as a part of the special edition version, Nissan could offer some distinctive design elements in the form of decals, contrasting inserts on the grille and bumpers, or even a new paint option. On the inside, the cabin should remain unchanged but may also feature some distinctive treatment.

Nissan Magnite Genz Special Edition: Powertrain

The standard Magnite comes powered by two engine options, such as the 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 72PS and 96Nm of torque and a 1.0-litre, inline three-cylinder, turbo-petrol motor that makes 100PS and 160Nm (152Nm with CVT) of torque. Transmission options include a five-speed manual and a CVT automatic. We expect the Magnite Geza special edition to be available with the 1.0-litre turbo petrol trim.

Nissan Magnite BS6 phase-2 update

Nissan recently updated the Magnite in India to comply with new BS6 phase-2 emission norms. With this update, the SUV now also gets Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), Traction Control System (TCS), Hill Start Assist (HSA), and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) as standard across all variants.

Commenting on the occasion, Rakesh Srivastava, MD, Nissan Motor India, said, "The big, bold, beautiful Nissan Magnite is a game changer with its unmatched value, high safety ranking and low cost of maintenance. We are introducing the Magnite Geza Special Edition with best-in-class contemporary features that enhances the Magnite's value proposition for discerning customers".
