New Mercedes GLC EV breaks cover
The new Mercedes GLC EV has been showcased at the Munich Motor Show in Germany and this will directly locks horns the BMW iX3.

Underpinning the new Mercedes GLC EV is the MB.EA platform that supports an 800 V charging architecture. The GLC EV is powered by a 94 kWh NMC battery that supports a DC fast charging up to 330 kW. In other words, a range of 303 km can be had in just 10 minutes and charging from 10-80 per cent takes about 24 minutes. The company claims a range of 713 km (WLTP) on a full charge.
There will be two versions on offer a rear-wheel drive configuration and an all-wheel drive setup. The 94 kWh battery will power the single motor unit which pushes a good 374 PS and the dual motor layout makes a good 489 PS of power. The top speed is locked at 210 kmph and the company claims a 0-100 kmph dash in 4.3 seconds.
The electric SUV is 4,845 mm long, 1,913 mm wide, 1,644 mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2,972 mm. It has a cargo space of 540-litres which can be expanded to 1,740-litres. The interior features include a 39.1-inch MBUX Hyperscreen that runs the latest MBUX operating system, built-in AI assistant, panoramic roof with switchable glass, ambient lighting, and Burmester® 3D sound system to name a few.
