New Lamborghini Urus S India launch on 13 April
After introducing the new Urus Performante, Lamborghini has set the stage to launch the Urus S in India on 13 April, 2023. The Urus S joins the sportier Urus Performante with a laid-back approach but bears identical power output figures as the Performante.
New Lamborghini Urus S: Powertrain
Powering the Urus S is the tweaked version of the twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 mill that is used in cars from Audi, Bentley, and Porsche. It is married to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Moreover, this V8 makes 16PS more powerful than the previous version. Therefore, its total power output is rated at 666PS and 850Nm of torque. The super-SUV achieves zero to 100kmph in just 3.5 seconds, while 200kmph comes in 12.5 seconds. The Urus S provides a top speed of 305kmph.
New Lamborghini Urus S: Equipment
While the Urus Performante gets a stiffer and sportier coil spring setup, the Urus S carries the same air suspension system as its predecessor. Moreover, unlike the Performante, the S retains three off-road modes, namely Sabbia, Neve, and Terra, along with Strada, Sport, and Corsa. Interestingly, these modes adjust the steering, suspension, rear differential, gearbox, anti-roll bar system, and engine response. Apart from that, the power is sent to all four wheels via an all-wheel drive system. Plus, the active centre and rear differential give it mechanical torque vectoring at the rear axle.
New Lamborghini Urus S: Price
While the Urus Performante comes with a sticker price of Rs 4.22 crore, the entry-level Urus S could be affordable by Rs 30-50 lakh.
