New KTM 250 Adventure low seat variant launched at Rs 2.47 lakh
After introducing the low seat 390 Adventure, KTM has launched the new low seat variant of the 250 Adventure in India. Interestingly, this low seat variant comes with the same price tag as the standard model, Rs 2.47 lakh (ex-showroom). Likewise, the 390 Adventure and low seat 390 Adventure cost the same.
The closest competitor of the 250 Adventure is the Suzuki V-Strom SX. This adventure bike has an 835mm seat height. It comes powered by a 249cc, single-cylinder, oil/air-cooled SOHC engine generating 26.5PS and 22.2Nm of torque. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
New KTM 250 Adventure low seat: Highlights
With the new 250 Adventure low seat variant, the Austrian brand has made its most affordable adventure motorcycle more accessible for shorter riders. Like the 390 Adventure, it has a significantly lowered seat height. It is believed the low seat 250 Adventure has a seat height of 834mm, compared to 855mm of the standard model.
New KTM 250 Adventure low seat: Features and specifications
The new low seat 250 Adventure carries the same feature-list as the standard variant. It comes with an LCD display, a 12V socket, halogen headlamp with LED daytime running lights, dual-channel switchable ABS, and a slipper clutch. KTM also offers it with WP Apex upside down front forks, a WP Apex rear monoshock, a 320mm front disc brake, and a 230mm rear disc brake. It has a fuel tank capacity of 14.5 litres.
New KTM 250 Adventure low seat: Engine, power outputs, and transmission
Powering the 250 Adventure is 248.76cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled DOHC engine that produces 30PS at 9,000rpm and 24Nm of torque at 7,500rpm. This motor comes mated to a six-speed gearbox.
