New Kinetic Green Zulu launched in India at Rs 94,990 lakh

Kinetic Green has launched the new electric scooter, called the Zulu, in India at Rs 94,990 (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The brand currently sells various e-scooters catering to different price points, starting with the Zoom, Zing, and Flex. The new Zulu sits between the Zing and Flex. Kinetic Green has also started a new initiative for its customers. Called as 'Battery as a subscription', this plan enables customers to cut the cost of buying the scooter by up to 35 per cent. On the occasion, the brand also introduced its new identity in the form of a new logo alongside its plans to introduce new products and an exciting partnership with Italian marque Lamborghini to make an electric golf buggy.

New Kinetic Green Zulu: Design

The Zulu gets a utilitarian design with sharp lines and angular body panels. The highlights include a front apron-mounted halogen headlamp, handle-mounted LED daytime running lights and indicators, halogen taillamp and indicators, front storage space with a lock, under-seat storage with a light and a USB Type-A port, and a small digital display. The company offers its latest e-scooter with a choice of six paint options: Black X, FB Blue, Cloud Grey, Pixel White, Insta Orange, and UTube Red.

New Kinetic Green Zulu: Range, battery, and top speed

Powering the Zulu is a 2.27kWh battery pack, which promises 120,000km of life, offers a claimed range of 104km. The electric motor paired with the battery produces a peak power of 2.1kW and provides a top speed of 60kmph. Kinetic Green claims that the Zulu can be charged from zero to 80 per cent in just half an hour when plugged into 15A socket.

In terms of hardware, the electric scooter gets telescopic front forks, dual rear shocks, and disc brakes at both ends. With its kerb weight of 93kg, the scooter can carry a payload of 150kg.
