New Hero Karizma XMR teased ahead of 29 Aug launch
Hero MotoCorp has once again provided a teaser for the upcoming all-new Karizma XMR, set to be unveiled on August 29, 2023. A brief teaser video offers viewers a sneak peek at the forthcoming Karizma XMR model. The launch of the new Karizma XMR is timed ahead of the upcoming festive season, aiming to appeal to both the loyal fan base of the original Karizma as well as new buyers. Notably, sightings of the Karizma XMR test mule have already been reported multiple times in India. Hero had even showcased the production-ready motorcycle during a dealer conference a few months ago.

The teaser video showcases distinct features including a sculpted and muscular fuel tank, an elevated tail section, a split seat, a clip-on handlebar, and a 'Karizma' lettering badge with chrome finishing. These elements collectively contribute to its sporty and aggressive design. Additionally, the teaser reveals that the new motorcycle will sport a yellow paint scheme, reminiscent of the original Karizma. Interestingly, the Karizma XMR was initially presented at a dealer event featuring a vibrant red color.
Upcoming Hero Karizma XMR: Powertrain
Anticipations suggest that the Karizma XMR will be equipped with a 210cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine paired with a six-speed gearbox. Performance figures are estimated to fall in the range of 24-28PS for power and 25-30Nm for torque.
Upcoming Hero Karizma XMR: Features and Specifications
The Karizma XMR is expected to come equipped with all-LED lighting, a digital display with Bluetooth connectivity, dual-channel ABS, and a slipper clutch, among other features. The model is also likely to incorporate a single-disc setup for both the front and rear brakes, telescopic front forks, and a rear monoshock suspension.
Upcoming Hero Karizma XMR: Prices and Competitors
The pricing for the upcoming Karizma XMR is projected to be approximately Rs 1.80-2 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will directly compete against the Bajaj Pulsar F250, Suzuki Gixxer SF 250, and the Yamaha R15 V4.
