Toyota has presented its new-generation C-HR, which features an eye-catching style. For the first time, the C-HR is also available as a plug-in hybrid, and there's lots of new technology on board. The new car has a significantly different design than its predecessor, which has proven to be a popular vehicle in the compact crossover sector. The new C-HR is designed and engineered in Europe.

2024 Toyota C-HR: Design and Dimensions

The 2023 Toyota C-HR has dimensions of 4,360 mm in length, 1,830 mm in width, and 1,564 mm in height, with a wheelbase length of 2,640 mm.

The smooth-flowing shape at the front and back makes the body profile more aerodynamic. Sharp LED headlights mounted unusually high, with Boomerang-shaped LED DRLs atop, a more muscular bonnet, a busy bumper encircled by a piano black panel, and a huge air inlet are all part of the package.

Dual-tone paint, more noticeable wheel arches, V-shaped alloy wheels, sculpted tailgate with wraparound linked LED tail lamps, perfectly integrated smart door handles, and a reworked rear bumper with metallic trim are other aesthetic features.

2024 Toyota C-HR: Powertrains

The lineup includes 1.8 and 2.0-litre hybrid electric (HEV) models and a 2.0-litre plug-in hybrid electric (PHEV) vehicle. Only the hybrid variant will be available with AWD as an option. In terms of power, the standard 1.8-litre engine produces 140PS, followed by the 2.0-litre engine, which produces 197PS, and the PHEV, which produces 223PS.

The PHEV accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 7.4 seconds and has a top speed of 180 kmph. With the battery fully charged, you can go 66 kilometres on electric power alone.

2024 Toyota C-HR: Interior and Features

The new Toyota C-HR is loaded with new technologies, and the inside has been entirely redesigned. A new 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto sits atop the dashboard, along with a 12.3-inch digital driver's display. JBL audio system, multi-colour ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, a simplistic dashboard and a three-spoke steering wheel are some other amenities onboard.

The new C-HR may be ordered with a digital key on your phone, and it can recognize who is driving and adjust the car to your specific preferences. This covers things like changing the seats and customizing the computerized driver's display. In terms of general design, the interior is primarily driver-focused, with the key controls slanted inwards towards the driver.
