Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X special edition launched in UK
Mitsubishi Motors has launched the Lancer Evolution X FQ-440 MR special edition to celebrate the company's 40-year presence in the UK. The Japanese firm will be producing only 40 examples of this special edition which will be priced at 50,000 pounds (Rs 49.9 lakh). The car is available only in frost white colour to be sold only in the UK.
The design remains the same with minor changes which includes bi-xenon headlights with adaptive front lighting system (AFS), 18-inch BBS alloy wheels, front fog lamps and motorsport spec wiper blades.
The interiors get Rockford Fosgate audio with eight speakers and subwoofer, 7-inch LCD touch screen with navigation, leather-covered steering wheel mounted with audio and cruise control and Recaro bucket leather seats.

The engine has been uprated to produce more power with a custom ECU remapping, the figures have been bumped up to produce 446PS and 558Nm of torque. The transmission is a six-speed twin clutch sports shift transmission (SST) which transfers power to the four wheels through super-all wheel control (S-AWC) full time 4WD system. Eibach coil springs have been employed for both the front and rear suspensions. Handling has been optimised further by lowering the front suspension by 35mm and the rear by 30mm. Janspeed has provided the exhaust system, intake piping kit and tubular manifold.
As part of the vehicle warranty, the car will be fitted with a data recorder that will be connected to the on-board diagnostic system. This system will collect and record information such as present location, vehicle diagnostics, driving style and performance. All of this data will be available to the owner of the vehicle for later reference.
