MG6 X-Power hybrid sports-sedan revealed
MG Motor has its share part of racing history but in the modern era of cars, the racing charm has vanished. MG Motor has revealed the new MG6 X-Power globally with an aerodynamic design. The MG6 X-Power looks very sporty thanks to its wide body kit and aerodynamic design which is complemented with a carbon fibre spoiler. The flowing design of the MG 6 X-Power is complemented with multi-spoke alloy wheels and neon-coloured brake callipers. The sloping roofline of the MG 6 X-Power ends with a large carbon fibre boot spoiler and the taillights form an 'X' shape when lit up.
The interior gets contrast stitching and rich materials highlighting the racing genes of the brand. The dashboard, steering wheels and door pads are draped in Alcantara and the sports seats get neon XPower embossing. The overall design of the dashboard is contemporary and boasts a fully digital and configurable driver's display.
Talking about the powertrain, the MG6 X-Power gets a 1.5-litre direct-injection turbocharged petrol engine, mated to an electric motor, combined producing 305PS and 480 Nm of torque. The power is channelled to the wheels via a 10-speed automatic gearbox and the X-Power does 0-100 km/h in a claimed time of 6 seconds. MG6 X-Power also gets imported 6-piston brake callipers specially tuned for the X-Power family. MG6 X-Power can come from 100 km/h to nought in just 33 metres.
MG6 X-Power is shod with Michelin Pilot Sport CUP2 tyres for maximum grip and cornering control. The imported tyres are engineered to provide stupendous in both dry and wet conditions. MG6 X-Power also comes with adjustable springs at the front which can lower the car by 10mm and provides lateral rigidity and better stability.
