MG Majestor Unveiled ahead of Launch

JSW MG Motor India has unveiled the MG Majestor, positioning it as India's first D+ segment SUV. First showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, the Majestor is now open for pre-bookings at ?41,000, with prices set to be announced closer to launch.

Exterior

Built on a 2,950 mm wheelbase, the Majestor measures 5,046 mm in length, 2,016 mm in width and 1,870 mm in height, which the company claims makes it the longest, widest and tallest in its segment.

Design highlights include a Mosaic Matrix grille, 'Dragon Eyes' DRLs, split headlamps, connected LED tail lamps with sequential turn indicators, a raised bonnet line and 19-inch alloy wheels. The overall stance is upright and rugged, aimed at delivering a strong road presence.

Interior

The cabin follows a black theme with leather upholstery and a large centre console layout. The front seats are ventilated and offer massage functionality, along with memory and welcome functions for the driver.

The SUV is going to be available in six- and seven-seat configurations. Key features include dual 12.3-inch displays for the instrument cluster and infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 12-speaker JBL sound system, three-zone climate control, dual wireless chargers and a 220V power outlet. A panoramic sunroof and 64-colour ambient lighting further enhance the premium appeal.

Engine and Performance

The Majestor is powered by a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine producing 215.5 PS and 478.5 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. It will be offered in both 2WD and advanced 4WD configurations.

The 4WD system features 10 off-road modes and an automatic torque distribution function that shifts between 2WD and 4WD based on traction conditions. The SUV also introduces front, rear and centre differential locks in the segment, along with Crawl Control Mode. It offers 219 mm ground clearance and an 810 mm water-wading capability.

Safety

Safety equipment includes Level 2 ADAS with assisted steering, braking and acceleration functions. Additional features comprise a 360-degree HD camera and Electronic Stability Programme integrating ABS, EBD, Traction Control System and Roll Movement Intervention.

The Majestor will be offered in Sharp and Savvy variants, in Pearl White, Concrete Grey, Metal Black and Metal Ash colour options.

Under its 'Complete Peace of Mind' programme, the Majestor is offered a 5-5-5 package comprising a 5-year unlimited kilometre warranty, 5-year roadside assistance and 5 labour-free services.

Additionally, through a partnership with ICICI Bank, customers will receive an exclusive invitation for the ICICI Emerald Credit Card at zero joining fee. Early customers will also benefit from priority deliveries, exclusive previews across select cities in March 2026 and invite-only experiential drives.
