MG 5 electric estate to be on display at Auto Expo 2023
MG Motors India plans to showcase a number of vehicles at the Auto Expo 2023, among them will also be the MG 5 electric estate. While the car is already on sale overseas, India's record with estate wagons has never gone as planned but MG hopes that the 5 estate will change that.
The MG 5 estate has a very contemporary exterior thanks to its sleek blacked-off grille that sits atop the charging outlet, swept-back headlights with integrated DRLs, dynamic front bumper with sharp creases, and huge dual-tone alloy wheels. The rear of the electric estate has T-shaped LED taillights.
There is just one Long Range powertrain option for the 5 EV. A 156PS electric motor, powered by a 61kWh battery pack, can accelerate the vehicle from zero to 96 kmph in 7.3 seconds. The estate can travel up to over 400km on the WLTP cycle, depending on the driving cycle. It includes both vehicle-to-load (V2L) and quick charging capabilities.
The MG 5 EVs' interiors include light-coloured finishes that provide the cabin with a lovely, airy feel. The 10.25-inch touchscreen entertainment system commands the majority of attention in the two-tone dash. Additionally, the centre console's height provides the interior with a wonderful, athletic cockpit feel. Additionally, the 5 EV is loaded with features, just like every other MG you've ever heard of.
A touchscreen driver's display, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automated climate control, heated front seats, linked car technology, and keyless entry with push button start are some of the highlights. Multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, a 360-degree camera, and a complete complement of ADAS all contribute to passenger safety.
