Mercedes-Benz is optimistic after GST 2.0
In an exclusive interview with Shereen Bhan, Santosh Iyer, CEO of Mercedes-Benz India said "Our expectation is that in the next 8 days, we will record the highest-ever number of cars sold per day in the history of India,'

- The A-Class Limousine sees a price cut of Rs 1.6 lakh
- The S-Class sees a price cut of over Rs 10 lakh
- The GLE sees a price reduction of Rs 8 lakh
- The S-Class Maybach sees a price reduction of Rs 19.85 lakh
Santosh mentioned that since August there has been a halt of sales and it has been a slump ever since, but, it will be recovered and with the festive season around the corner coupled with the GST 2.0 price cuts, there's ought to be a positive momentum. He added that the excitement is palpable considering the revised prices for models across the portfolio.

When prompted on self reliance he added that the brand has been in India for the past 30 years and he mentioned that there is workforce of over 10,000 Indians working in Bangalore, developing research and development for the world. He also added that there is a India in every Mercedes sold anywhere in the world.
And he also mentioned that "our growth is fully linked to the economic growth of India".
Mercedes-Benz India has revised prices for select models under GST 2.0, reducing overall taxation on luxury cars and offering customer benefits of up to Rs 68 lakh.
