Maruti Suzuki Nexa cars get S-Assist app-based virtual assistant
Maruti Suzuki has launched a new virtual assistant app for its Nexa cars which it calls S-Assist. Through this app, which is available at no added cost, owners can access various functions aimed at making the ownership experience easier.
The S-Assist app provides owners with digital content like DIY videos, information on various aspects of the car as well as workshop assistance. A digital copy of the owner's manual is also available while a picture search option allows users to scan parts of their car and receive information on them easily. The app also has a database of over 4,120 Maruti Suzuki workshops across India which customers can call or navigate directly.
This app is has been co-created with a Delhi based AI startup, Xane.AI and is one of 13 projects that Maruti Suzuki is supporting as part of its Mobility and Automobile Innovation Lab program which launched in January 2019 to help start-ups develop and launch their ideas. The S-Assist features are available through the "Maruti Suzuki Rewards" app available on both iOS and Android app stores.
Partho Banerjee, senior executive director of Service at Maruti Suzuki said of this initiative, "Digitization of car service experience and bringing ease to customer car ownership is our motto. We are proud to announce the launch of India's first voice-enabled virtual car assistant, S-Assist, to strengthen the digital experience of our customers. S-Assist is a complimentary service that offers quick access to vehicle features, troubleshooting and driving tips on customers' smartphones. It brings real-time information to customers for their vehicle-related queries."
