Maruti Suzuki Nexa achieves two million unit sales milestone
Maruti Suzuki's Nexa has achieved a two million unit sales milestone in India since its inception. It has over 440 dealerships in more than 280 cities. Notably, Nexa accounts for about 20 per cent of the carmaker's overall sales in the country.
Under the Nexa sub-brand, Maruti Suzuki sells the Ignis, Baleno, Ciaz, XL6, and the recently launched Grand Vitara. In addition, the upcoming Fronx and Jimny will be available at Nexa dealerships upon launch. Speaking of the new launches, Maruti Suzuki has already received over 38,000 combined bookings for the Jimny and Fronx. That said, the automaker introduced Nexa in July 2015 and the S-Cross was the first model to be sold under the new sub-brand.
Commenting on the occasion, Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing and Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, "Nexa was conceptualised in 2015 with a philosophy of providing unique experiences, along with innovative and intelligent technology through a diverse product portfolio."
"With the recent unveiling of two new SUVs the Jimny and Fronx, the Nexa portfolio looks stronger than ever. Both have garnered combined booking numbers of over 38,000. We are confident that the NEXA channel is poised for greater success in the upcoming year" he added.
