The India-spec Jimny 5-door was introduced by Maruti Suzuki at the recent Auto Expo 2023. There will be two variants of the Jimny available in India, Zeta and Alpha. Official reservations have started, and the launch is anticipated for May 2023.

Testing appears to still be ongoing despite being publicly revealed. Online leaks have revealed fresh spy images of the Maruti  Suzuki Jimny 5 door with red license plates. While the top variant of the Jimny was on display at the Auto Expo 2023, here's our first look at the base variant of the Jimny.

Some features that are available with the top-of-the-line Alpha variant are not available with the Maruti Jimny Zeta model. Instead of alloy wheels, it will have steel wheels.

Other oversights include the bigger 9-inch touchscreen with surround sound, auto headlamp, headlamp washer, LED headlight, fog lamps, retractable motorized ORVMs, start/stop button, cruise control, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and automatic temperature control. Instead, a 7-inch touchscreen and four speakers are included.

The Jimny gets a 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine that belts out 104PS and 134Nm of torque when paired with a five-speed manual or a four-speed torque converter sending power to all wheels via Maruti's AllGrip Pro 4x4 system with a low range gearbox.
