Maruti Suzuki Fronx fuel economy figures revealed
Ahead of its launch, the fuel efficiency figures of the new Maruti Suzuki Fronx have come to light. The crossover made its debut at the Auto Expo 2023 in January this year. It has even received more than 15,500 reservations since the commencement of bookings three months ago.
Maruti Suzuki Fronx: Mileage and powertrain
Powering the Fronx is a 1.0-litre, inline-three-cylinder, turbocharged Boosterjet petrol engine and a 1.2-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated, Dual Jet, Dual VVT petrol unit. The 1.2-litre gives out a fuel economy of 21.79kmpl with a five-speed manual gearbox and 22.89kmpl with a five-speed AMT transmission. On the other hand, the 1.0-litre returns fuel efficiency of 21.5kmpl with a five-speed manual gearbox, while it offers 20.01kmpl mileage with a six-speed automatic transmission.
Regarding power output, the 1.0-litre Boosterjet produces 100PS and 148Nm of torque, while the 1.2-litre unit makes 90PS and 113Nm of torque.
Maruti Suzuki Fronx: Variants, colours, and dimensions
The Fronx is available in five variants: Sigma, Delta, Delta+, Zeta, and Alpha. Furthermore, Maruti offers it with eight colours: Opulent Red, Artic White, Earthen Brown, Splendid Silver, and Grandeur Grey, including three dual-tone shades: Opulent Red, Splendid Silver, and Earthen Brown with a Bluish Black roof. Meanwhile, the Baleno-based Fronx measures 3,995mm in length, 1,765mm in width, and 1,550mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,520mm. It has a boot space of 308 litres.
Maruti Suzuki Fronx: Features
The Fronx boasts a bunch of features similar to its siblings, such as LED headlights, an auto headlamp with follow me home, a wireless smartphone charger, paddle shifters, cruise control, engine start/stop switch, USB fast charging ports (Type-C and Type-A), a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system with SmartPlay Pro+, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a six-speaker Arkamys sound system, built-in voice assistant, OTA updates, a heads-up display, 360deg camera, ESP, hill hold assist, six airbags, and Suzuki Connect.
