Maruti Suzuki commences exports of made-in-India Jimny 5-door
Maruti Suzuki India Limited has commenced exports of the made-in-India Jimny 5-door to various countries across the globe. The five-door version of the popular off-roader is exclusively manufactured at the brand's Gurugram facility in Haryana. Notably, the Jimny 5-door will be shipped to Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa regions. Launched in June this year, the Jimny 5-door is available in two variants and a range of colour options. It is to be noted that Maruti Suzuki started the production of the Jimny three-door exclusively in India for exports to Latin America and Africa in November 2020.
Maruti Suzuki Jimny 5-Door: Variants and colours
The Jimny 5-door is offered in two variants: Zeta and Alpha across seven paint options: Nexa Blue, Sizzling Red, Bluish Black, Pearl Arctic White, and Granite Grey, along with Sizzling Red with a Bluish Black roof, and Kinetic Yellow with a Bluish Black roof.
Maruti Suzuki Jimny 5-Door: Features
The Jimny 5-door gets projector halogen headlamps, a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system with SmartPlay Pro+, automatic climate control, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, fog lamps, auto folding ORVMs, engine start/stop switch, cruise control, leather-wrapped steering wheel, six airbags, electronic stability programme, ABS with EBD, hill hold and descent control, a reverse camera, and ISOFIX anchor points, among others.
Maruti Suzuki Jimny 5-Door: Powertrain
Powering the India-spec Jimny 5-door is a K15B 1.5-litre, inline four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine mated to a five-speed manual or a four-speed torque-convertor automatic transmission. This motor produces 105PS and 136Nm of torque. The SUV comes equipped with AllGrip Pro four-wheel-drive system. Meanwhile, the manual variant is claimed to return a mileage of 16.94kmpl, while the automatic variant gives out a fuel economy of 16.39kmpl.
