Maruti Suzuki ARENA now offers six airbags as standard
Maruti Suzuki India Limited has announced that six airbags will now be standard across its key ARENA models, including the WagonR, Alto K10, Celerio and Eeco. These updated models will now join the Swift, Dzire and Brezza in providing enhanced safety as a standard feature.
The safety package includes dual front, side, and curtain airbags, supported by 3-point seat belts for all occupants and seatbelt reminders. Additional safety features include the Electronic Stability Program(ESP®), the Anti-lock Braking System(ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution(EBD), and Hill Hold Assist, which are available in select variants.
According to Mr. Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, "With the decision of making six airbags standard in WagonR, Alto K10, Celerio and Eeco, we are ensuring that enhanced safety is available for all. Given the immense popularity of these models, this move substantially elevates safety standards for a vast number of motorists". To support this initiative, the company has launched a campaign to spread awareness around airbag safety, featuring activities like Zorbing and Bubble Football to demonstrate impact absorption, reiterating the brand's commitment to passenger safety. The models with six airbags are now available to all Maruti Suzuki ARENA dealerships nationwide.
