Mahindra XUV700 variants revealed ahead of launch

The Mahindra XUV700 will be available in two different trim levels: MX and AdrenoX. (AX). The former is the entry-level trim, while the latter is a step up with top-spec versions that include self-driving technology. A Delhi RTO document leaked this news ahead of the Mahindra XUV700 official launch.

The document from the Delhi RTO confirmed that the top-of-the-line AX7 Mahindra XUV700 will only be available in a seven-seater configuration. If you want all-wheel drive, you'll have to go for the top-of-the-line AX7 Diesel AT. Because they are still simply homologations, not all versions of the Mahindra XUV700 may be accessible on Day one. The Mahindra XUV700 has restricted its MX series to strictly 5 seater variants. The top-spec AX7 model will get three optional extra packs: 'Comfort', 'Technology', and 'Luxury'.

Two engine options are available for the Mahindra XUV700: 2-litre petrol making 200PS and 380 Nm of torque and a 2.2-litre diesel making 155PS in the MX variant and 185PS in the AX variant. The diesel engine produces 360 Nm or 420 Nm based on the transmission chosen. Both engines may be combined with either a manual or automatic gearbox.

Mahindra has announced the pricing of four 5-seater manual versions as of now. The MX Petrol will start at Rs 11.99 lakh while the MX Diesel will begin at Rs 12.49 lakh. The higher-end AX3 Petrol will be priced at Rs 13.99 lakh and AX5 Petrol at Rs 14.99 lakh.

A 10.25-inch digital driver display, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Alexa connected car technology, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a panoramic sunroof, a powered driver seat with memory function, a 3D sound system, and dual-zone climate control are included in the top-spec variants.

Seven airbags, ABS with EBD, parking sensors, a 360-degree camera with blind-spot monitoring, electronic stability control, and tyre pressure monitoring provide passenger safety. Lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, high beam assist, automated emergency braking, and front collision warning are among the driver-assistance systems available on the SUV.

The Mahindra XUV 700 competes with the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, and Hyundai Alcazar, all of which are seven-seaters. The five-seater variant also competes with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Tata Harrier in the market.
