Mahindra Automotive is preparing to debut a fresh makeover for its subcompact EV SUV, the XUV400. A test mule of this SUV was recently spotted testing, giving some new facts about it. According to the spy images, the test mule looks to be in its last phases of development and the changes appear to be on par with the upcoming XUV300 facelift.

Mahindra XUV400 Facelift: Design

A closer inspection of the spy images of the Mahindra XUV400 facelift test mule reveals that the car will get a revised front section that includes new headlights, a new front grille, and a reprofiled front bumper. The only noticeable update on the test mule's appearance is the new set of alloy wheels, which are heavily camouflaged.

The test mule's profile resembles that of the existing Mahindra XUV400 electric SUV. The 2024 XUV400's rear end has no spy image, but it is slated to receive the same improvements as the XUV300, including linked LED taillights.

Mahindra XUV400 Facelift: Powertrain

The Mahindra XUV400 is equipped with 34.5kWh and 39.4kWh battery packs, providing ranges of 375km and 456km. The electric motor paired with both battery packs generates 150PS and 310Nm of torque. We expect this to remain unchanged.

Mahindra XUV400 Facelift: Interior and Features

The XUV400 facelift's cabin has yet to be seen, but if it receives the same treatment as the XUV300 facelift, you can anticipate a significantly reworked dashboard with a floating touchscreen infotainment system larger than the current model's 7-inch display.

The positioning and direction of the AC vents might also be altered, and a few additional features should be included. Mahindra may include six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), a 360-degree camera, and perhaps advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) in the facelifted electric SUV.

The facelifted Mahindra XUV400 is expected in the second half of 2024. It might be priced somewhat more than the current model, which currently costs between Rs 15.99 lakh and Rs 19.19 lakh.
