Now that the Mahindra XUV400 has gotten an update, we anticipate the XUV300 to get a slew of upgrades as well. The XUV300 was launched in 2019 and this will be the compact SUV's first ever major overhaul. The car was recently spotted once again in Chennai as it undergoes testing under camouflage, but we do get a pretty decent look at what the facelifted car would look like.

Mahindra XUV300 facelift: Design

While the XUV400's upgrades were mostly on the inside, the XUV300 will get some changes made to itself on the exterior as well. From the spy images we've received, the Mahindra BE-inspired styling is visible from the exterior. Mahindra seems to have borrowed design elements from the BE05 Electric, including the compact headlamps and C-shaped LED DRLs. The front grille and bumper of the XUV300 will also be more noticeable.

The XUV300 is expected to be more like the XUV700 and future BE series, especially at the rear. It receives a newly revamped tailgate, and a full-width LED light strip, as seen on the BE concepts, might make an appearance. While the final tail-light design is unknown, we can glimpse some C-shaped units with LED components.

Mahindra XUV300 facelift: Interior and Features

Inside, the 2024 XUV300 facelift's dashboard layout and style will be comparable to the new XUV400. Mahindra's outdated design will be replaced with a newly designed dashboard layout and a new steering wheel.

Above all, there will be a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system powered by Adrenox, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a new 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, two USB charging sockets, push start/stop switch, OTA updates, rear air-con vents, in-built Amazon Alexa assistant, auto-dimming IRVM, cruise control, a wireless charging pad, OTA updates, six airbags, and fog lights. Apart from that, it continues with a sunroof, ESC, TPMS, dual-zone temperature control, four disc brakes, powered ORVMs with auto-fold function, auto headlamps and wipers, and more.

Mahindra XUV300 facelift: Powertrain

The engine options will remain the same and comprise a 110PS and 200Nm 1.2-litre turbo-petrol, a 130PS and 230Nm 1.2-litre T-GDI turbo-petrol, and a 117PS and 300Nm 1.5-litre diesel. All engines come standard with a 6-speed manual transmission, with an optional 6-speed AMT available for turbo-petrol and diesel engines.

Pricing for the XUV300 facelift is expected to be significantly more than that of the current model, which starts at Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It will resume competition with the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Nissan Magnite, and Renault Kiger.
