Mahindra has just launched the XUV 3XO and will now turn their focus towards the EV segment with their range of XUV.e and BE range of vehicles. One of the first will be the XUV.e9 which is set to launch only in 2025 but has been spotted testing multiple times.

Mahindra XUV.e9: Exterior

As shown in the image, the Mahindra XUV.e9 will have a coupe-like construction with a sloping roofline that flows smoothly into the curved LED taillamps. Other distinguishing features include a rear spoiler with an integrated stop lamp, a shark-fin antenna, a rear parking camera with sensors, squared-off wheel arches, and door-mounted rear door handles.

The XUV.e9 also boasts large rear haunches for an aggressive appearance, as well as distinctive design features at the back. The coupe-SUV's rear has linked LED taillights. The license plate housing will be positioned on the back bumper, while the tailgate will display the Mahindra twin peaks logo.

Mahindra XUV.e9: Interior

The XUV.e9 will essentially be an SUV-coupe variant of the XUV.e8. So on the inside, they will be similar. Just like the XUV700, it will get the twin 10.25-inch driver display and infotainment screen but the electric model will get an additional 10.25-inch screen for the passenger. Even the centre console will be slightly redesigned.

Mahindra XUV.e9: Powertrain

Based on the same INGLO platform, Mahindra has stated that battery capacities would range between 60 and 80 kWh, adding that both RWD single motor and AWD twin motor configurations are possible.

The XUV.e9 will be positioned above the XUV.e8 SUV in Mahindra's EV lineup and may become the company's flagship product in India. Mahindra are currently gearing up for the launch of the Thar 5-door which is set to debut on August 15, 2024.
