Mahindra Thar Earth Edition launched; prices start at Rs 15.40 lakh
Mahindra & Mahindra has launched the Thar Earth Edition, inspired by the magnificent Thar Desert. Priced from Rs 15.40 lakh (ex-showroom), this special edition is designed to bear the spirit of adventure, offering a unique aesthetic that mirrors the desert landscape. It comes in the LX variants in hard-top layout across petrol and diesel engine options. In fact, each Thar Earth Edition SUV comes with a uniquely numbered decorative VIN plate, starting from serial number 1, adding a limited edition touch to the model.

Mahindra Thar Earth Edition: Design
The Thar Earth Edition features a new satin matte 'Desert Fury' finish, reminiscent of the sandy dunes. Dune-inspired decals and silver alloy wheels contribute to its unique appearance. It features Earth Edition badges on the B-pillars, 4x4 and automatic badges in black with red inserts, desert fury accents on ORVMs, body-coloured grille, and matte black Mahindra logos.
On the inside, the cabin gets the same desert theme. Plus, there are customised front and rear armrests, 7D floor mats, and comfort kit. Additionally, there is a black-coloured base with light beige inserts represents the nature of sand. Beige leatherette seats with dune graphics and there are Desert Fury inserts on various elements, such as air-con vents. steering wheel, and dark chrome accents.
Mahindra Thar Earth Edition: Powertrain
Powering the Mahindra Thar Earth Edition is a 2.2-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged mHawk diesel engine delivering 130PS and 300Nm of torque and a 2.0-litre, inline-four cylinder, turbo-petrol mStallion motor that produces 150PS and 320Nm. Both engine options can be mated to a six-speed manual and an automatic transmission.
