Mahindra has finally unveiled the prices for the Mahindra Scorpio N Automatic and 4WD variants. The Z4 petrol starts at Rs 15.45 lakh rising all the way up to Rs 21.45 lakh for the Z8L diesel. Mahindra also went on to state that these introductory prices will be applicable only for the first 25,000 bookings. Bookings start from 30 July.

However, if you want 4WD, it's only available on the diesel engine, even though it can be had with either the manual or automatic transmission. Both the petrol and diesel engines may be had with automatic gearboxes, each of which is a 6-speed torque-converter unit.

Mahindra plans to roll out 20,000 units of the Scorpio N in the initial period, which will be valid up to December 2022. On June 27, prices for the manual transmission were released. On July 5, test drives began in 30 locations. Customers will have the opportunity of changing the variant they selected when booking on July 30 up to midnight on August 15th.

The diesel engine option in the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio-N is the 2.2-litre mHawk unit. This motor is available in two states of tune with a lower-spec Z2 variant putting out 132PS and 300 Nm, being offered with a six-speed manual and rear-wheel-drive only. The top-spec variants of the Mahindra Scorpio-N will get this diesel in a higher 175PS tune with torque outputs increasing to 370Nm when paired with the manual and 400 Nm with the six-speed automatic. The Scorpio-N also gets a five-link rear suspension as well as frequency-selective dampers.
