Mahindra introduces metaverse-based XUV400verse
Mahindra has introduced a metaverse-based XUV400verse platform for its first electric SUV, the XUV400. This platform claims to combine the brand's virtual spaces to provide a unique customer experience with photorealistic graphics. Additionally, Mahindra intends to strengthen its outreach with millennials and Generation Z groups.
The Mahindra's XUV400verse comprises a virtual showroom that offers guided and free-roam journeys, LED walls that showcase spatial sound interactive avatars (live and non-player characters), and different zones giving access to merchandise and accessories. Further, the users can create their own avatars and can invite others to communicate and socialise.
Furthermore, the XUV400verse offers a 'hyper-realistic 3D configurator' that allows users to customise, change colours, and explore the features of the SUV. The users can then take a virtual test drive with multiple drive modes.
The upcoming all-electric XUV400 will be powered by a 39.4kWh battery pack, which offers a claimed driving range of 456km. It supports 50kW DC charging, which takes 50 minutes to charge to 80 per cent. In addition, a 7.2kW wall box charger can charge the SUV from zero to 100 per cent in 6 hours and 30 minutes. Meanwhile, Mahindra will announce the prices of the XUV400 sometime in January 2023.
Speaking upon the occasion, Veejay Nakra, President, Automotive Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said, "The XUV400verse will enable us to create a superior customer experience. We invite our community of young SUV buyers and enthusiasts to plug into this experience with their friends and family from the comfort of their homes. We are providing an environment that resonates with our next generation of tech-savvy customers, offering them an innovative and immersive experience."
