Mahindra celebrates production of seven lakh vehicles from its Haridwar plant

Mahindra celebrated the production of seven lakh vehicles from its plant in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. It achieved this milestone figure within 10 years of its inauguration, which took place in December 2005. Mahindra's plant hit the six lakh mark in November 2014, and has produced one lakh vehicles in less than a year. This plant currently manufactures the Bolero, Scorpio, Gio, Alfa and the Champion.

Mumbai, September 29, 2015: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M Ltd.), India's leading SUV manufacturer has achieved a production milestone of 7 lac vehicles from its automotive plant in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. The Haridwar plant achieved this milestone in less than 10 years. The plant's earlier production milestone of 6 lac vehicles was achieved in November 2014 and since then it has taken just ten months to reach the 7 lac vehicles production mark. Inaugurated in December 2005, the Haridwar plant currently manufacturers the Bolero, Scorpio S2, Gio (passenger & load), Alfa (passenger & load) and Champion range of Mahindra products. For the past two years, the plant has earned the distinction of having one of the highest production capacities amongst other automotive plants of Mahindra. It is the company's sole automotive plant in North India.
