Ever since Tata Motors unveiled the Tata Punch and its capabilities, most of us have been waiting desperately for the launch of this crossover and that day is finally here. The Tata Punch is a crossover that sits below the Tata Nexon in the brand's range and shares its ALFA underpinnings with the Tata Altroz hatchback. Expected to rival the Mahindra KUV100 and Maruti Suzuki Ignis, the Punch is expected to gain a huge following due to its small package and off-road abilities. Stay tuned with us as we bring you all the details from the launch of the Tata Punch.
Introductory pricing starts at Rs 5.49 lakh, going up to Rs 8.49 lakh, ex-showroom. AMT variants Rs 60,000 over applicable MT variants.
Some of the main reasons why the Tata Punch received a Global NCAP score of 5 stars
The Punch shares its ALFA architecture with the Altroz and unsurprisingly many of the hatchback's interior fitments have been carried over here. The Tata Punch will have a dual-tone interior theme, a seven-inch Harman touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a seven-inch instrument cluster from the Altroz, a leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel, cruise control, automatic climate control, steering-mounted controls and rectangular AC vents with contrast coloured vents.
The best news for Tata is that Punch has received the 5-star rating for adult occupant protection and the 4-star grade for child occupant protection from Global NCAP. After the Altroz in January 2020 and the Nexon in December 2018, the new Punch is Tata's third car to get this safety award.
Tata calls the Punch a 'No compromise SUV' with Bold and Stunning design, Premium and Spacious interiors that offers the agility of a hatch with the DNA of an SUV. Bookings for the Tata Punch have commenced and one can book their very own Punch at Rs 21,000 at their nearest Tata dealership.
