Honda cars India is unveiling the all-new Honda City e:HEV with a new hybrid technology. The Honda City Hybrid is powered by a 1.5-litre Atkinson cycle four-cylinder petrol that put out 98PS and 127 Nm. This pairs with a 109PS and 253 Nm electric motor fed by a 0.7 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. An e-CVT gearbox then transmits power from the drivetrain to the wheels. The Honda City hybrid will be offered in two variants when it goes on sale, the mid-spec V and top-spec ZX trim. The RS cosmetic package that the hybrid is paired within the Thai market is unlikely to make its way here, although the top City Hybrid ZX will get the Honda Sensing suite of advanced driver assistance systems. This should include adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, forward collision warning and auto emergency braking.
